It would appear that some desperate tenants out there who are willing to pay a similar rate have followed suit in Oct 2022. There are three of them to be precise, all transacting at the same rate of $6,000 per month as recorded in HDB’s rental database.
These three rental transactions are boxed in red in the table below.
In all three cases in BUKIT MERAH (LIM LIAK ST in Tiong Bahru), CENTRAL (CANTONMENT RD or Pinnacle @Duxton) and KALLANG/WHAMPOA (JLN TENTERAM), the $6,000 rental recorded in Oct 2022 represented a spike for each town. And this is regardless of flat type because, surprisingly, these records are not set by the largest unit types. These are 3-ROOM and 4-ROOM units.
